Description

A Rare WWII-Era Collectible: Do you wear watches? Imagine having a piece of history on your wrist - a rare timepiece crafted during World War II. This gold chronograph, made by the Swiss company H. Moser & Cie towards the end of WWII, carries significant historical value. Based on the serial number and the fact that it's crafted from 14k gold (585 purity), it was likely intended as an honorary gift.
However, we are still investigating who the recipient might have been, and whether it was ultimately presented as an award. What’s certain is that this timepiece comes from an extremely limited series. A similar watch from the same era, made of stainless steel, sold at Phillips Auction in 2021 for €74,000 (CHF 69,300).
This particular gold version holds even greater investment potential.
This remarkable chronograph was uncovered through our DAC (Decentralized Art Consulting) system, a part of the CoArt Marketplace ecosystem, and is currently privately owned. Complete identification requires further expert analysis. We have already contacted three professionals with the necessary qualifications, and we expect full authentication to be completed before these exceptional gold watches go up for auction on our platform in November 2026.

Shipping and returns

When you choose delivery, the seller hands the object to CoArt Market’s courier within 72 hours of your payment being confirmed, and the courier delivers it to you, insured for the period of delivery. Delivery and its insurance are one line at checkout, at the price shown there.

You have 48 hours from the confirmed delivery to accept the object, or to claim that it is not the object shown in the showroom. Without a claim in that time, the object counts as accepted.

The seller is a private person, so the right of withdrawal that EU consumer protection law grants in contracts with a trader does not apply.
